Compare Environments using Smart Diff

The Smart Diff or smart differentiation option is used to run and compare the security level of the application or service when it is promoted from staging to production or development environment. The following parameters are compared between the environments using smart differentiation.
Application level risk status and scores.
Changes in the images and their risk status.
Resolved alerts and new alerts that are identified.
Vulnerabilities identified in the application.
Resolved CVEs and new CVEs.
Removed dependencies and newly added dependencies.
The comparison can be done between two applications or services.
To view smart difference for an application, follow the steps given below:
Select any application for which you want to view the smart diff and click on it. The Application Status page is displayed.
Navigate to Smart Diff option in the top right corner and click on it.
The Smart Diff details page is displayed as shown below:
Select Application if you want to see the smart difference for the entire application or Service if you want to see the smart difference for a particular service using the toggle button provided at the top right corner.
Now select the environments (dev, staging, production) between which you want to do the comparison as shown below:
On selecting the environments, the compared details between the two are displayed. The displayed details include difference in the security score, images, new alerts, resolved alerts, vulnerabilities and dependencies identified in the environments.
To do smart difference between two applications, follow the steps given below:
Select any application for which you want to view the smart diff and click on it.
The Application Status page is displayed. Navigate to Smart Diff option in the left panel list and click on it.
The Smart Diff details page is displayed as shown below:
Select Application in the toggle button provided at the top right corner.
Now select the environments (dev, staging, production) between which you want to do the comparison as shown below:
