Kubernetes

Kubernetes, often abbreviated as K8s, is an open-source container orchestration platform for automating the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications. It provides a robust and scalable framework for managing containerized workloads and services.

Usage of Kubernetes in SSD

  • SSD scans the connected Kubernetes cluster periodically to identify misconfigurations and security issues.

  • It automatically block deployments to insecure clusters.

  • The scanned results are available in Deploy section of the DBOM page, and the View Open Security Issues page.

To Integrate Kubernetes:

  1. Navigate to Config > Integrations.

  2. In the Artifact panel, click on Kubernetes.

  1. The Kubernetes integration page is displayed.

  1. Click +New Account.

  2. Enter the Account Name, and Cluster Name as shown below:

  • Account Name - The name of the kubernetes account.

  • Cluster Name - The name of the cluster

  1. Click Save. The Kubernetes account is added.

  2. You can edit the entered values. Click the three dots provided at the end of each added account. Click Edit.

  1. Enter the new values and click Update.

The new values get updated.
