# Scan Now

The Scan Now option is used to initiate the security scan of a selected resource (e.g., source code, container image, artifact, or deployed service) instead of scheduled or automated scan. 

The following scans are available in SSD:

* Source Scan
* Artifact Scan
* Dast Scan 
* Mobile Scan

The Scan Now is option is available in the home page as shown below:
