# Templates

Template is a blueprint of all the information needed to run the analysis.&#x20;

It contains information about applications/services, data sources etc.

There are two types of templates available:

1. Log Template
2. Metric Template

Specific template types can be used for your analysis.

If you have both logs and metrics data for your application, you can create both the template types and use it for your analysis. Otherwise create either of the template based on the type of data and analysis you are targeting.
